FIVE 18 39
Another long break. But felt like I needed to Blog.
My dear Rosa is sad. Polo died. He was a good dog. He was 12, which I guess counts as 84 doggie years. Bubba and I took him to the vet to get cremated. We eagerly await his return.
This is Rosa's first experience with the passing of a pet. Its been hard, but she's already recovering. (A strong woman our Rosa is.) The other dogs have acted a little weird since he passed on monday. Lexi, his daughter, wouldn't come into the bed room uninvited for the last couple of days. Polo was a fixture in that room, if Rosa was there he usually was too. Today she came in the room and went all the way around the other side of the bed, looking for Polo we think. Asia, the other dog ( or samoan wild boar, inside joke. ;-) ), doesn't seem to have even noticed yet. Time will heal the hurt, but I doubt he will ever be forgotten.

I'm back!
TWO 10 39
Well, been awhile since last blogged. Lots has happened.
I appealed the denial of my unemployment claim. WON! Looking forward to the big check for the back claims. It'll be nice to be able to pay some of my own bills.
Its basically summer now so Rosa is more active, out and about. This means I get forgotten easily. I knew this would happen, it did last summer too. I love her, but she sees me only as a friend. :-) Its part of the cycle, sometimes are better than others. She still needs me from time to time and that's nice. It is the way she lets me show her how I love her.

PY calendar
ONE 7 39
So I've come up with a PY (personal year) calendar. Go here to see it:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=ppUFMWFnHmP0qYS-1Dvy8Tg
I've decided on some basic rules.
April 26th (my bday and the beginning of my year) is Newyear Day. It is not a part of any month.
NY day is followed by 13 monthes of 28 days each.
The monthes are named ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT, NINE, TEN, ELEVEN, TWELEVE, and THIRTEEN. The names of the monthes are always capitalized.
The affix p is added to the day (pday) to indicate my personal day. IE if I start my weeks work schedule on FRI that day is pmon.
pday is always to be styled in lowercase letters never uppercase.
The style of the whole date is MON DAY# YR#
Today is ONE 7 39
Month ONE
Day 7
Year 39
Since I am currently unemployed, my pdays correspond to the days of the week. When I finally get a job I will change that.
I've also decided that all my future posts will begin with my PY date.

Bad Day
Well, today I lost my job. I begged for my job. But no. Couldn't even give me the chance to prove I can do the job. Who's crime is this? It is Craig Campbell's. His accompLices: Will and Jaime. (I'm not sure that's how Jaime spells her name, but I don't care. They couldn't spell my name right.) I'm sure they laughed about it. (LOL, we got rid of the stinky fat guy.) Never mind the fact that I was willing to do whatever they asked to keep my job. "Never give a sucker an even break." WC Fields. Never mind that I did my best to adapt to my job and never once asked them to accomodate me. They would've been legally required to under the ADA. I'd bother with hating them, but it takes too much energy. Almost three years, and it now counts for nothing. I was just in the last year or so begining to feel good about myself and the future again. They took it all away.

Some Random thoughts
Why is it XOXO, and we know the X is a kiss, and the O is a hug, but we say Hugs and Kisses?
Why is it "Pork barrel politcs" when the pork barrel fell out of use a century ago?
Why didn't DVD every deliver on its promise? Wasn't the idea of the DVD to have more information on the format for things like bloopers, commentary and other such things? But now if you want that sort of stuff you have to wait for "special editions" or "platinum release" DVDs?
Why is it that most people don't signal while backing up driving a car? Shouldn't you want other drivers to know what direction you're backing out to?
Most women are just as pretty without make up as with it, once you get to know them.
Latina women stay pretty longest in life.
The marsupial is one proof that God exists. Natural Selection created that? Don't think so.

Roll back the tax
So today I went to Subway, home of the famous 5$ Footlong. But wait no, it was 5.78$ Tax of course. So how about rollback the price and charge me 4.42$ plus tax = 5$! This would be nice. I'd prefer to know the price with tax.

The Great Journey
The Great Journey is life itself. Sometimes that journey is mental, sometimes it is physical. I hope to make this blog about that and any other thing I wish.
