well, its been a week since the season ended. i'm taking a bit of an unofficial 'vaycay' from the work world. i'm don't think i worked enough hours to get UI money. :( i've put my spending in frugal mode, but might make one last splurge, either a b&b night or a trip to the casino. i haven't decided yet.

RIP Polo, a good dog
FIVE 18 39
Another long break. But felt like I needed to Blog.
My dear Rosa is sad. Polo died. He was a good dog. He was 12, which I guess counts as 84 doggie years. Bubba and I took him to the vet to get cremated. We eagerly await his return.
This is Rosa's first experience with the passing of a pet. Its been hard, but she's already recovering. (A strong woman our Rosa is.) The other dogs have acted a little weird since he passed on monday. Lexi, his daughter, wouldn't come into the bed room uninvited for the last couple of days. Polo was a fixture in that room, if Rosa was there he usually was too. Today she came in the room and went all the way around the other side of the bed, looking for Polo we think. Asia, the other dog ( or samoan wild boar, inside joke. ;-) ), doesn't seem to have even noticed yet. Time will heal the hurt, but I doubt he will ever be forgotten.

I'm back!
TWO 10 39
Well, been awhile since last blogged. Lots has happened.
I appealed the denial of my unemployment claim. WON! Looking forward to the big check for the back claims. It'll be nice to be able to pay some of my own bills.
Its basically summer now so Rosa is more active, out and about. This means I get forgotten easily. I knew this would happen, it did last summer too. I love her, but she sees me only as a friend. :-) Its part of the cycle, sometimes are better than others. She still needs me from time to time and that's nice. It is the way she lets me show her how I love her.

PY calendar
ONE 7 39
So I've come up with a PY (personal year) calendar. Go here to see it:
http://spreadsheets.google.com/pub?key=ppUFMWFnHmP0qYS-1Dvy8Tg
I've decided on some basic rules.
April 26th (my bday and the beginning of my year) is Newyear Day. It is not a part of any month.
NY day is followed by 13 monthes of 28 days each.
The monthes are named ONE, TWO, THREE, FOUR, FIVE, SIX, SEVEN, EIGHT, NINE, TEN, ELEVEN, TWELEVE, and THIRTEEN. The names of the monthes are always capitalized.
The affix p is added to the day (pday) to indicate my personal day. IE if I start my weeks work schedule on FRI that day is pmon.
pday is always to be styled in lowercase letters never uppercase.
The style of the whole date is MON DAY# YR#
Today is ONE 7 39
Month ONE
Day 7
Year 39
Since I am currently unemployed, my pdays correspond to the days of the week. When I finally get a job I will change that.
I've also decided that all my future posts will begin with my PY date.
